Three years ago I was shocked to find out my A1C was a 7.0 which is full diabetes (type 2). I had to accept that I did this to myself from years of unhealthy eating and I was the one that had to fix it. I exercised and tried several diets over the past couple of years and managed to get off of the medicine. However, my numbers still hovered between 6.0 – 6.5 for the past two years. My “off scale victory” today was getting results of a 5.6 A1C level. Levels under 5.7 are considered normal. LEAN has given me the tools I needed to live a longer, healthier life!! -LEAN Client

Your program is the BOMB!! To date I have lost 43 pounds and 35.5 inches. I am still continuing to lose.  Your nutritional strategies are the best. I could not have imagined that I would be here 6 months earlier. If you want to do something good (and nice) for yourself, then the LEAN program is for you. I am 55+ years and was looking for a way to get back to the “younger” me. For the past 5 years, my work was incredibly stressful, and I did not have the energy to take the best care of myself. I was in survival mode. A year ago, I had tried a very well known program (one that promotes free points) as many people that I know have had success with the program. However, after following the program for 3 months, I lost a total of 5 pounds and no loss of inches. I was diligent in following the program but the program didn’t work for me. It was my fate that I learned about the LEAN program. My friend’s sister was visiting from California and she was the person who introduced me to the LEAN program. I was so intrigued  listening to and seeing the results she had achieved. The LEAN program is so amazing in many avenues. First and foremost, it is a scientifically based program which is important to me as I have a science background. Secondly, Amanda and her staff are so encouraging and responsive to any questions that I had. Amanda has such a vast knowledge base and is so enthusiastic in sharing her knowledge to help you achieve not only weight loss, but a healthy lifestyle. I always enjoyed listening to the podcasts. They were so educational. I love her mantra, “Progress, not Perfection.” I did not have all perfect days but there was always constructive feedback provided. It’s incredible that the nutritional regimen of intermittent fasting, carbohydrate cycling, and exercise will lead you to the path of success. Over the seven weeks, I lost a total of 14 inches and 13 pounds (9.6% of my starting weight). I knew I was losing weight by week 4 as my scrubs were loose!!!! What a great feeling! People at work noticed too! As you can tell, I am totally onboard with the concepts I learned in the LEAN program. I will incorporate everything I learned and feel whole heartedly that I will follow the core concepts for a very, very long time!!!!! I encourage all of you to try the program. A friend recommended the program to me, and I thought I would try it to jumpstart some post-partum weight loss (never mind my baby is almost 3 yrs old).  The program motivated me to start strength training (which I had been procrastinating about). I figured, it couldn’t hurt. It encourages intermittent fasting, and although I was afraid I would die if I worked out in the morning on an empty stomach, in fact I did not die, my body adjusted, and I kept getting stronger.  The 7 week program coincided with possibly the most insanely busy 7 weeks of my life, and yet- I managed to navigate business travel, vacation, and a house move while seeing results. This is something that is doable for the most busy mama (even a single, full-time working mama like me). Nourishing and strengthening your body is an investment worth making, and always pays dividends in the long run (not to mention the 11 pounds and 12 inches I lost in 7 weeks).  I’ve signed up for round 2 to cement the good habits and hopefully to springboard my body to even more success! I am teary eyed as I type this. I have tried every diet/ weight loss program you can name over the past 15-20 years. None of the programs worked or gave me tools to sustain weight loss. In May 2018 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and went in to have a double mastectomy in July. It was a really dark few months mentally and physically. I was blessed to not have to endure chemo or radiation but was put on a hormone blocker for the next 5-10 years to keep my chance of reoccurrence low. This medication has many side effects but the main one that I kept seeing was WEIGHT GAIN!!! More weight on top of what I already weighed was scary. I was a little skeptical that I could actually lose weight on this program at age 57 and menopausal. I felt the deck was stacked against me but I am thrilled with my results!!! I have more weight to lose but I know I can achieve my goal with this plan! Thank you Amanda for sharing your knowledge! I am down 15.8 pounds and a total of 10.5 inches!!  -LEAN Client

I now drink water instead of Diet Coke. I’m eating vegetables that I haven’t even tried before and I’m loving it, and so is my family! I am prepping meals that allow for me and my family to eat much healthier. My daughter with RA feels so much better eating healthy and cutting out the dairy and gluten. What an amazing experience! After years of “eating healthy” and trying the latest diet fads, I finally feel like I’ve found a sustainable plan to stay lean and healthy. Despite being incredibly knowledgeable about health and wellness and eating very clean my weight has crept up since hitting 40 three years ago. I thought I had tried everything to budge the numbers on the scale to no avail. I joined LEAN to see if maybe combining carb cycling with IF was the missing link for me (I had not tried these two together!!) and IT IS WORKING! This program was eye opening for me. I didn’t realize how poorly I was doing at eating the proper foods. The amount of coffee I drank, and how I dressed it up, was a big contributor of hidden calories. The fasting was and still is very empowering and the science behind it seems very solid. I have noticed significant health benefits as well. I am sleeping much better, I have almost completely stopped snoring. I am sure I had some mild sleep apnea which has improved. I also have something called keratosis pilaris which for lack of a better term – pimples on the back of the arm. I had a lot of them. There are not a lot of scientific studies, but there has been a suggestion between the condition and gluten sensitivity. As a physician, I downplayed the gluten free issue as a fad and overstated. I am not so sure now. After only 7 weeks my keratosis pilaris is almost completely clear. These physical changes were huge for me. I also noted the mental benefits of better sleep, feeling more fit, and overall I have a better disposition. I have lost over 15 pounds in 7 weeks and look forward to the next 7. -Paul T.

  • The information on all the nutrition is my favorite. I knew fasting and tracking was all good for you but with the information Amanda provides, you know the why, the why and how bulletproof coffee works, why 16+ hours of fasting is the best. I think with social media we can get wrapped up in so many different ‘fads’, myself included, that not knowing the ‘why’ can be really damaging. That is why so many of us get wrapped up in this cycle of losing, then gaining it all back. It is a cycle I have been on for the last 11 years. I am so grateful to Amanda and can say with utmost confidence this is my new way of life.

  • Amanda has completely changed my outlook on not only nutrition and exercise but my life as a whole. I was at a point in my life where I was losing control, I turned 30. I’m the only single person in my family and friend group. That stings sometimes, makes things harder sometimes. I felt like my body was the only thing I had any control over. I was working out hard 5-6 days a week but eating like crap. I became so frustrated that my body wasn’t changing that I started to not eat as much which had the opposite effect.   • Biggest WIN from working with Amanda= My husband! I have felt so BAD for so many years yet I never really understood anything enough to change my habits. Well, Wednesday my hubby randomly said to me as his eyes got watery… “It truly brings tears to my eyes how you are taking control of your life. I can tell that you feel better. I wore a pair of pants this week that I haven’t worn in over 4 years!
