Gina, a Licensed Professional Counselor from Prairie Village, Kansas (GO CHIEFS!), earned her Psychology degree from Kansas State University and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Fort Hays State University. She began her career in inpatient psychiatric care, working with adults and children in individual, group, and substance abuse therapy. After marrying, she shifted to working with inner-city children in schools while raising her own family.
Passionate about helping others, Gina primarily uses cognitive behavioral therapy with adults and play therapy with children. She believes that changing our thoughts can transform our moods and daily lives.
She discovered LEAN through social media and was drawn to its focus on fueling the body rather than restricting calories. A lifelong advocate of an active lifestyle, she found LEAN’s structured approach to health invaluable. Her favorite mantra, “progress, not perfection,” reflects her belief in positive self-talk and resilience.
Gina and her husband, Mike, stay busy with their four children, three dogs, and a rabbit. When not at a baseball, basketball, football, or soccer game, their family enjoys time at the lake—their happy place.
