Why do we love pantry restock videos?
Or why are grocery hauls so satisfying to watch?
There’s just such a good feeling when your kitchen is organized and stocked with delicious, healthy food!
It’s so satisfying to us, that in our own free time, we lounge on our couches and watch other people stock their kitchens.
Strange. But many of us get it.
We vicariously live through the person in their pantry. We get that satisfied, relaxed feeling of a storehouse of nutrition, feeling like it’s right at our fingertips too.
That is, until the video ends and we step into our kitchen, hungry and needing a quick bite.
Our kitchens are often full of chip bags, old produce, frozen pizza, and boxes of stale cereal.
We don’t have the energy to make kitchen restocking our personal hobby. We certainly will never have time to display gleaming, twice-washed berries in their own color-coordinated bins.
But we don’t have to spend hours a week organizing and prepping groceries. And we don’t have to settle for the snack pile we call a pantry.
I found a third option.
I can easily stock my kitchen with delicious, healthy quick-cook food by simply adjusting my grocery list.
Over the years, I’ve found brands that check all the boxes.
They’re:
- Yummy
- Made with clean ingredients
- Full of protein and/or fiber
- Macro and calorie balanced
- Easy to make for quick weekday meals
It’s taken years to find my list of favorite, go-to brands. So I thought I’d save you that time and list them here.
Add these food brands to your grocery list. Next week, you’ll find these eleven foods stocked in your own kitchen.
Amylu
Amylu is my weeknight dinner lifesaver. Every item I’ve bought from Amylu is a winner. Let me just give you one, for example. Their Italian-style meatballs are made with a short ingredient list of chicken, spices, garlic, vinegar, and rosemary extract. They’re fully cooked, so you can heat them up and pair them with pasta, marinara, and roasted veggies for a delicious dinner without starting from scratch!
RAGU Simply Pasta Sauce
A good pasta sauce makes healthy dinners much easier. This one has such a great ingredient list: tomatoes, olive oil, onions, carrots, garlic, and spices. That’s it! No added sugar.
Wild Planet Albacore Wild Tuna
This one has become a pantry staple. One can is packed with 33 grams of protein. I love to toss mine in a salad, make a quick tuna bowl, or whip up a high-protein tuna melt for lunches.
Kodiak Power Cakes
Breakfast is my favorite meal. We often have breakfast for dinner, so pancakes find their way onto our menu often. I love having these on hand so that I can stick to my goals and enjoy a few flapjacks too. Each serving contains 15 grams of protein!
Teton Waters Ranch Polish Sausage
If you love a hearty, savory dinner, these Polish sausages will be a dinner favorite. They’re made with 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef, with no added sugar, nitrates, or nitrites. Slice one into a skillet with peppers and onions, serve it with roasted potatoes, or top it with sauerkraut.
Cuisine Solutions Sliced Grass-Fed Beef Sirloin
This has been such a great shortcut for me when I want a steakhouse-style meal without cooking steak from scratch. Each serving contains 19 grams of protein! I add mine to salads, pile it on a sandwich, or serve it with rice and vegetables for a quick dinner.
Good Culture Cottage Cheese
I eat about one tub of this stuff a day. That may sound shocking, but it checks every box for me. It’s delicious, the ingredient list is simple, it provides live and active probiotic cultures for gut health, and it majorly increases my protein intake. The 2% low-fat classic cottage cheese has 14 grams of protein and 90 calories per half-cup. I love to blend mine into sauces, spread it on toast, or enjoy it for breakfast with fruit.
Cleveland Kitchen Kraut
A little crunch and tang can make a flavorless meal next-level. This sauerkraut is made with simple ingredients (just cabbage, salt, and caraway seed), with only 10 calories per serving. The fiber and live cultures are huge bonuses. I could eat this on top of literally any savory meal.
Nancy’s Greek Yogurt
A good yogurt has to have it’s place in your fridge. Nancy’s is known for its live probiotic cultures and clean ingredients. Plus, it’s creamy and delicious. I use this in smoothies, breakfast bowls, sauces, and to top tacos and soups.
MALK Almond Milk
Non-dairy milks often hide a huge list of ingredients, like gums, oils, and fillers. MALK contains just three: filtered water, organic almonds, and Himalayan pink salt. It’s a safe and clean milk to use in overnight oats, coffee, or your favorite protein shake.
Seapoint Farms
On family pasta night, I grab Seapoint Farm’s organic edamame spaghetti. Here’s why: 200 cal, 24g protein, 21 total carbs, 12g fiber. Need I say more?
Made with just one ingredient (organic soybeans), this pasta is packed with potassium, calcium phosphorus, iron, and zinc. Even in pasta form, soybeans are full of nutrients that are great for your heart, gut, blood sugar, and immune system. Fiber-rich soybeans can help curb your appetite and stay full for longer.
