Megan Sexton

LEAN Accountability Coach

Megan Sexton is a registered Dietitian Nutritionist from Louisville, KY. Megan is a native Kentuckian from
Somerset and received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Western Kentucky University. Go Tops!
While at Western Kentucky University, Megan was a student athletic trainer traveling with football and
women’s spring soccer. Megan completed her dietetic internship at long term care company in
Murfreesboro, TN. A career opportunity and family brought Megan back to Kentucky. Megan has been
practicing as a clinical dietitian in various areas of acute care for over 14 years. Megan is currently a
Certified Nutrition Support Clinician working in pediatrics and also has also completed her Certificate of
Training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management. Megan’s passion is to use nutrition to
positively impact people’s lives.

Megan, a fitness enthusiast, discovered LEAN from a friend at her fitness studio. After that Megan began
following Amanda on Instagram and she finally decided to join LEAN 2 years later! The thing that
attracted Megan to LEAN the most was it was created and led by the nutrition expert a registered
dietitian nutritionist. Megan has always been personally invested in nutrition and fitness but was having
trouble achieving the results she desired after battling chronic illnesses and an autoimmune disease for
over 10 years. After completing 2 rounds of LEAN, Megan lost almost 20 pounds and over 8 inches from
her waist and hips alone, and has maintained her weight loss as an Elite client (even during COVID).
Other positive outcomes of the program she noticed was reduction of symptoms from her chronic
illnesses. As a client the daily accountability in the Amanda Nighbert app and simplified approach to
whole food nutrition was Megan’s favorite part of the program and still is today. One of her favorite
mantras from the program is “Don’t over think it.” The moment she completed the repeater round of
LEAN she knew she wanted to be a LEAN coach to motivate and help others feel this good. She placed
the goal of becoming a LEAN coach on a sticky note on her bedroom mirror until it became a reality.

When Megan is not working in the hospital or coaching clients, you can find her working out at the
fitness studio where her favorite class is Bounce Bootcamp (a rebounding bootcamp class performed a
rebounder- aka mini trampoline). Megan also loves to spend time with her family including her 7 (soon
to be 8) nieces and nephews who affectionately call her MeyMey, watching football, cheering on her
Cards and Tops, and hanging out with her cats.
