Carol Hyatt

LEAN Accountability Coach

Carol Hyatt is an Accountability Coach for the LEAN Program.

Carol is a wife married for 29 years and mother of two sons in their 20s and a daughter who is currently a freshman at UK. She has lived in Lexington, KY for 50 years and loves everything about her hometown. Carol is a teacher of students with Learning and Behavior Disorders and department chair in a local public elementary school. She has held a variety of other positions in her life, but in her 40s was called to teaching, and absolutely loves it. However, her newest passion that she loves just as much is sharing her enthusiasm and knowledge of living the LEAN lifestyle with others as an Accountability Coach.

Carol, has always generally been active and a healthy eater. However, regardless of her efforts, she has struggled with being overweight her entire adult life. Since around the time she turned 20, she struggled to maintain a healthy weight, and as the years passed, that struggle became a battle against obesity. At 6’1” tall and over 50 years old, Carol was over 300 lbs and had been on and off the diet rollercoaster for more times than she could count. She had tried every program in the books, and some of them multiple times. She had joined gyms and been a walker for years. She was able to lose weight in past attempts, but was never able to reach her goals, or sustain any of the weight loss for long. That is until she heard about LEAN from a trusted friend back in March of 2018. It was then that she decided to try something new that was unlike anything she had ever done before.

After 1 year living LEAN, she surpassed her original goal of losing 80 lbs, by losing 90lbs by March 2019. Now, almost another year later Carol has continued to surpass goals that she had set for herself. She has lost over 100lbs total, more than 70 inches, and is down 5 dress sizes and continues to set new fitness goals for herself while her inches continue to change. She lives and breathes this lifestyle, and what she loves the most is the education that comes with it, and that it is sustainable. It is based on learning about health and nutrition every day from an expert, and setting fitness and wellness goals that are based on the best and most recent nutrition information. The knowledge, strength and guidance she has received from this program after (2) 7 week rounds and a year and a half in the Elite group, has given her a whole new life. She wants everyone to experience this, so she loves sharing this knowledge with new clients. She also started a Healthy Mindset for Life group on social media where she shares daily motivation and mindset affirmations.

Since Carol started, her passion has been to celebrate this lifestyle, and to share everything she has learned to help anyone she can. She represents the perspective of so many that may have more weight to lose, or be in an older age category which has its own challenges. As an accountability coach she can continue to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with so many more people, which is what she loves to do. She is living proof that this lifestyle can work for anyone of any size or age, and can be maintained for the long haul.
